What is the problem I want to solve?
Currently we don't have a user manual for the end users on how to actually use our project. Right now they just get a program in front of them and they have to just guess what means what and where to find anything.
How will/did I solve this:
(Stepping stones & Lab)
By making use of user manuals it makes it a lot easier for the end user to understand where they can find everything and what each element does in our project. I've made a manual explaining our entire menu set up and our customization scene. This is what we currently have in our project. The manual is first written in Dutch, but after that was finished, I've translated it to English, German and French with the help of Google translate, because my own personal translation skills aren't that great.
What is the result?
What is the quality of the result?
The first version of these manuals they are well put together. They explain everything inside our project to the user with clear and easy to understand instructions. There are even images added to the manual as well to give a visual instruction to the end user as well to make it easier for them to understand. The translations to other languages might also need some improvement by maybe asking a translator to translate our Dutch language to the other desired languages we need.
What is the next step?
Our next step is to test these manuals with our target group to see if they understand everything explained in the manual as well. We can't ask our target group directly unfortunately, but our project company CTOUCH can. What we've agreed on with the company is that we send them the manual instruction of the Dutch version only, to see if it's clear enough to understand by our target group. From the feedback we get on the first version of the manual we can improve our user manual for the end user to understand it better.
